Mad Monkey is the artistic outlet Erica Jefferson who has been creating art for 40+ years. In 2002, she graduated from Ringling College of Art with a BFA degree in Illustration. Shortly after graduating Erica moved to the NYC area and began a long career working in children's fashion for well-known brands such as Target, Walmart, Sears and TJ Maxx. Her work has won several awards and has appeared in multiple publications. 

 

Mad Monkey reflects Erica's long time love of street and graffiti art, drawing inspiration from Keith Harring, Banksy, Mr. Monopoly, Andy Warhol, Mr. Brainwash, J Goldcrown, Hunt Slonem, Malcom Liepke, and Dane Shue. Her artwork combines her graphic background in childrens fashion with a raw, gritty street-style execution. She now resides in northern NJ with her three beautiful kids and one awesome husband who are also artists themselves.
